Fashion photography is about more than just clothes: good fashion photos are like time capsules. Initially, they simply documented what people were wearing, but they have evolved into an expressive and highly stylized means of telling a story in a single frame.

Some of the most interesting and avant-garde photographers in the world have used fashion as a way to create a totally new style and look, and have influenced photography as a whole. So, rather than submitting pictures of clothes, focus on how fashion affects your subject and how that photo might tell a story. What does fashion mean to you?
