The One I Love

Nicole Gesmondi is much more than just a favorite photographer of mine. When we met, I was a wanna-be photographer who had some cool photos only because I have seen every cool location in the U.S. Now because of her, I know much more about color and composition and thanks to her I have a plastic film camera obsession.

I actually enjoy being her assistant at weddings, helping her develop her website, and growing her photography business. She is a lot of fun to work with and go shooting with. She also doesn't mind that I have neverbought her any jewelry, prefering to get her cameras, lenses, flashes, or film for aniversaries, birthdays, Christmas, and even Valentine's Day. This past Christmas was no exception. Nicole got boxes of expired 100 series Polaroid film and a Lomo Supersampler from me. She got me the lens pack for my Diana+ and I can't wait to shoot with the telephoto, wide-angle, and fish-eye lenses!

JPG Magazine's web developer, Jason Schupp has called us "the First Couple of plastic-shot medium format photography on JPG." We both enjoy the various styles of photography on this web site and all of the great friends we have made on here in the past few years. Countless times we have been inspired by the images on this site and have gone out shooting based on what we have seen.

Last, but certainly not least, Nicole is so beautiful. My crazy photos of her really don't do her justice! Sometimes I wonder how I was so lucky to meet such an amazing person. We both get along so well and I think that everyone that knows us would say the same thing. Just look at the fun we put into our photos!
