The Ones We Love Entry

All Three Of Them

I had a hard time deciding what to do for this feature challenge. You are supposed to pick the one special person that means most to you, but I have three of those special people that mean the world to me, my children.

From the moment I laid eyes on and held each of my children I cried. Not sad tears but tears of joy! Each child being a beautiful miracle, the feelings that went through me were so special that words can't describe them. I love each of my children with the same intense love yet for different reasons as each of my children are unique.

I was a teen mother to my daughter. Alyssa was my first child which I gave birth to at 18 years of age. I was scared and felt as though I had shamed my parents but I knew as soon as I found out I was pregnant that I would keep this child. She is twelve now and my only daughter. She is a free spirit and reminds me a lot of myself at her age yet on the other side of the coin we are very different. She loves music (which I do as well) and she also loves to dance (which I also love) but the difference is whereas I am shy and dance in private, she dances with all her heart and without abandon, she doesn't care who is watching, she feels the music and can't help herself. She is beautiful and smart, has a good head on her shoulders and does very well at school. She loves living life and sees all the good in it.

My second child is my son Evan. He is eight, four years younger than his sister. I have been through a lot with him. He has ADHD, bi-polar, depression among other emotional problems. He can be a handful and it can get very discouraging at times but on the same note, he is one of the smartest kids I have ever seen! This is the kid you want to go to when you're in need of a good laugh, he has such a wonderful sense of humor. He is also very compassionate towards others when he is not having an episode, big hearted and helpful. He loves to invent things, loves to read and is very good at it.

My third child is Wesley. He is a four year old tornado! You clean a room and when you finish cleaning the second room the first one is tore up again. If you can slow him down for a few moments he loves to cuddle. He likes to help out and is very good at it. He is one of those kids that, when quiet for a minute too long, you go looking for him. He has very good manners with please, thank you, and excuse me. Although he hasn't quite figured out that please doesn't always get you that third cookie.

So as you can see, I couldn't choose one over the other for they are all so unique, beautiful, and just wonderful children. The ultimate loves of my life. I feel blessed each day to have them in my lives and I will always remember the first time I held each one of them.
