Home abstraction
By Niki Conolly

I had taken a series of shots called Home about a year ago. These are some of them. Some are abstracts - couch cushions for example. Some are distillations of the place - trying to capture an essence like a perfume, a feeling. That is what people say of my home...it has a feeling, in the good sense. A warmth. But what it is exactly I am not sure. Other than the fact that all these and more add up to the place we call home.
oh! - The fly-away was created by my friend Mary Sue Kern. She is a wonderful artist.

exceptional way you photograph the spaces in the room to bring out the warmth you feel. your personality definitely shines thru each image in a soft way. soothing. and yet there is danger lurking in the shadows behind the doors. very nice work.
