Last week I went to the beach near my house in a sunny day and was plenty of water mirrors, nice landscapes and of course I got lot of "good" pics. Yesterday the day was sunny and a little more windy and I took my camera and went to the beach expecting to have the same escenario.Suddenly the day was not any more a sunny day.

Lesson Learned #1: Every day is a UNIQUE moment, very obvious, but we forget it or not?

Plenty of dissapointment I was in a beach with a lot of clouds and feeling I had walked a mille for nothing, so I decided to try some shots a least to feel that the walk worthed. I looked to the place where I found the water mirrors last week and there were some interesting sand prints so I took some shots.

Lesson learned # 2: ALWAYS shot, in the digital era, not excuses

So I continue to walk trying to find a good theme or inspiration and suddenly I found another sand print somehow different to the first one and without notice it, 10 minutes later I have converted myself in a "sand print searcher" and had like ten or eleven different prints.

Lesson learned #3: Walk and search: you will find a theme or inspiration.

It easy to writte about this but at this moment I was dissapointed anyway and in my mind I was no getting good pics ( I am not saying these one are), you will be surprise once you see your results in the screen.

Lesson learned #4: Dont go with a fixed concept about you will get, think out of the box ( this is the kind of rules that some time can be broken)

Once at home I looked the pics I got and somehow every pic by it self was not what can be considered a master piece but together had sense and for me a strange beauty.

Final thoughts: time to time I go to libraries to see photography books and I try to learn about it and several times when I see an image that looks simple but somehow beautiful and perfect, I think, "...of course is easy to do it with a pro camera or in Alaska things are beautiful, I need to be there to get the same results..." We all know this is not true but frustration make us think in this way and we forget that we can have the best camera, be in Alaska and not necessary got the best shots, is a matter of practice, tenacity , and a lot of hard work!

These are beautiful designs of Nature. The lesson you give is great advice. Sometimes it is good to go out looking for a photoshoot, instead of planning one. There are things you miss if you try to plan everything. Voting yeah.
