Training Day

training day

Moisés Fuentes was the first Paralympic medalist of Colombia. He has become an example for many in his home town, Bucaramanga, and in the rest of the country. Persons with some kind of disability show me what effort, courage and will humans have. The training began like any other, warming up, making the normal routines. As the training day went ahead I was amazed what I saw. All working as a team, hand by hand, each one gave what other lacks, eyes for the ones who did not see, a shoulder to push the others, legs to those who lack of them. HUMANITY, that word had a new sense to me that day, in many ways. Helping each other, running exceeding limits to conquer not a medal but this human drive that we all have to make the impossible to run faster than yesterday to prove to themselves and to others that the major disability there is, is not having the will of overcoming the adversity life puts in our way.
