Trax Art

If you open your eyes and use your imagination you can always find something unusual to photograph. I'm talking really different stuff...for instance..in northern California in the small town of Arcata, ..home of Humboldt University.. there lies a sweet little bird sanctuary in the marsh close to the bay. Go for a walk and you see lots of folks jogging, pushing the baby stroller, enjoying the sea air....and of course lots of birds which would seem the logical subject . But, there are also abandoned railroad tracks running through the marsh and when you take time to check them out ..you will find art like you have never seen before, and isn't that the point? I am all for anything different, new, unusual slightly wacky, or whatever us humans can create to release that inner artist in the soul. Cameras really allow us to do that..doesn't matter the camera or the subject matter, its all about going out there, finding that unique shot, being spontaneous. The subject can be as unique as the person holding the camera as well it should be. The following are photographs of what I call (and I am sure a lot of others as well) Railroad"Trax" Art..I don't know who did the original work..prolly several creative thinkers, but I do know this "art" always gave me enjoyment when I walked across the trax.
