The Factory

These are photos of the ruins of an old factory on the far south side of Chicago. The factory looks like it's in the process of being demolished, although nothing was happening the day I went to shoot.
I could have gone right in among the ruins to shoot. There were large gaps in the fence surrounding the lot. Much of what's left of the buildings looked pretty unstable, however, and I had a scary close call a number of years ago when shooting in a safer location than this, so I stayed outside of the fence.
It's a beautiful brick building, kind of a shame to see it go.
