"Zach & Miri Make a Porno" & Movie Theater Church Ladies

Today my husband and I went to the movies. We were excited to see Kevin Smith's "Zach & Miri Make a Porn". We were not very surprised that at 15 minutes before the movie was to start on a Sunday afternoon, we were the only two people in the theater. We chose the exact center seats and settled in for the movie.
A few minutes before the previews began, a borderline elderly woman walked in.....alone. She sat in the row in front of us and just one seat over. Interesting choice when the whole theater was empty.
We were both shocked to see this woman, sit down. I really thought that she was in the wrong theater. The movie began and she remained seated. As the language got more and more colorful, and there was more and more nudity, I kept expecting her to get up and leave-she stayed.
I couldn't tell if she was enjoying the movie. She stayed until the end. She stayed Not just the end. She stayed through the first round of credits. She stayed through the mid credit bonus section. She stayed until the last credit rolled.
I really wanted to ask her what she thought. My husband and I both loved the movie. I chickened out. We waited until she left, gathered our things and went to the restroom. There she was. An elderly lady that I just sat through an R rated Kevin Smith movie with. As we washed our hands, I looked her over. She was dressed up. So dressed up in fact, it looked like she came to the movie directly from church.
I wish I would have asked her about her experience. I wish I knew if she liked the movie.
Next time I will be braver.
