Heads Up !

It's funny how we can sometimes get so caught up in technical perfection. Well, for my first story on JPEG I decided to go back to basics.......Having Fun !!!!
So, it's Friday night and instead of hangin' out and bar-hoping with some friends I decided to go on a nighttime excursion in one of my favorite places, Little Tokyo. Little Tokyo is a small Japanese district located in the heart of downtown L.A. There is always something going on there, if you know where to look. However, on this night I just couldn't think of anything or pull myself together. I kept missing out on good oppurtunities every time I looked at the camera to make changes in exposure settings. So, after a delicious sushi dinner, a few beers and some Pinkberry frozen yogurt I started walking into each and every shop in the main plaza. Shot a few portraits of the locals and kept walking around.
Then I noticed that most of the shops had these weird, but cool decorated heads displaying the vintage clothes they had for sale in their shops. So I set the white balance on the Nikon D700 and the exposure meter to the matrix setting and decided to go headhunting (sort of). That's when the fun began. The shop owners, employees, and shoppers thought it was funny that I was going around taking pictures of manequins. But hey, they where the ones dressing them up right ? I carried on for a couple hours and this is the end result. A pretty good collection (I think).
All in all, I had a great time. As for the portraits I shot that night ? They're nice and I'm happy with them, but that's another story. Hope you enjoyed it !
