Japanese Rave Scene

Soulwax came to Osaka. Figuring it was time to break out of my shell, and get out of my city, I arranged to get a ticket and set off for a wild night out...only it wasn't just me going to have a wild time.
I have already been impressed by the ingenuity of Japanese fashion. Anything goes. Take a walk through Osaka's busy shopping district, and you can see wild hair that defies gravity, multiple piercings, a multitude of hats, and an explosion of colour - sometimes all on the same person.
Black Chamber is a large venue comprising of both indoor and outdoor dance floors, and it was already pulsing with smooth beats. I glanced around and saw a myriad of differing styles. Get the Japanese sterotype of inscrutability, business suits and shyness out of your heads.
Variety was the theme of the evening - i must have missed the memo. Surrounding me were young - and old - Japanese ravers, out to make a statement. What it is, I'm still trying to figure out, see for yourself.
