This series was the result of a month spent living and volunteering at a senior center in a small village in Eastern Europe. In Moldova, a former Soviet country, the roads were crumbling and water pipes were dry. A surprising number of working age people flee the country every year to find employment. I spent a month harvesting cherries and trying to understand the lives of these wrinkled faces.
