Renaissance Festival

It's a colorful, fun filled day. A place where actors and actresses stay in character all day and the average person can dress up and play along. While the on lookers roam around drinking beer or wine, chowing on a turkey leg or a soup bread bowl. And catching a few interesting shows. And sometimes getting a little loud and having a riot of a good time. Funny how being under the influence and getting a little rowdy under normal circumstance might get you thrown out of most places. But in the world of Renaissance participation is encouraged and applauded and sometimes a good joke might be at the expense of an attendee, but it' s all in good fun.
Some of the shows have a following of fans and their reputation draws the crowds. One of those would be The Dead Bob Show. This is one of my favorites. Where everyone has to recite the rules. And 3 lucky non-participating audience members (bob zombies 1,2 and 3)are chosen to participate. But first they are Bobnotized and brought on stage for what I like to call a lesson in Simon Says or Bob Says. I also can't miss the jugglers and magicians.
It's been about 10 years since I started attending and only missed a couple. It could be an addiction. But it is only once a year and the people are beautiful and really have a good time working and attending. The best addiction anyone could have.
