Dreams

Dreams take us to places we cannot go in our day to day life. But, they are also grounded in that day to day life. Dreams are a version of our waking lives, an alternate view on our lives our psyche creates for us to live.
But, from the point of view of the dream world, our waking lives are a version of our dream lives. Both lives work together, struggle with each other and mirror each other in unexpected ways. Nobody knows how they influence each other, it's all guess and theories. The only thing known for sure that these worlds do influence each other.
My intent is to create a dialogue between the opposing worlds of dreams and waking by blending the world, breaking down the rigid barriers of "awake" and "dream." All the photos and accompanying prose, except for "The Beginning and the Ending," are mirrored by another. The photos are from the waking world and the prose is from the dream world.
"It is on the whole probably that we continually dream, but that consciousness makes such a noise that we do not hear it." Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961) Swiss psychologist and psychiatrist.
