120

120 was the maximum speed for the classic cars of yesteryear, but on September 28th these beauties were running at "0" at High River's Show 'n' Shine car show. This was the largest car show in High River to-date.
High River is a small rural town in Southern Alberta and home to approximately 10,000 people. With approximately 1,200 cars being shown in the downtown core it was impossible to see every one of them.
The Show 'n' Shine car show had something for everyone - classic and new cars, food and entertainment. What was very apparent was the dedication and passion the car owners had for meticulously restoring their classic cars. Almost all the classic cars were restored to perfection and shined to show off their original glory.
I'm one of those viewers who wouldn't know one engine from the next, but reveled in viewing and photographing the bits and pieces of these magnificent machines. There was a distinct favoritism for the steering wheels and dashboards, grills, polished chrome, emblems, and taillights and fins.

High River had a sunny fall day for it as well. All those shiny cars in the sunshine. I hope you didn't have the high winds we had here in Red Deer most of the day on Saturday, Sunday was perfect though. Gorgeous photos.
