"We are R.E.M. and this is what we do, we hope you like it". This is what Michael Stipe, the lead singer of R.E.M., often says at the end of their concerts. And I think I can say everybody in front of their stage likes a lot what they do. The band on stage performes heavenly and enthusiastic crowd make the gigs even greater.
Here I collect few pictures which are a so nice memories for me. I'd liek to share the amazing experience of a live show.
I took all the photos in Milan in July and In Turin in September, I took them singing and jumping and moving every seconds in front of the stage! And everytime my glance goes to the pictures my mind runs to those nights.
I've got just one suggestion: if you can, go to yuor favourite's singer or band's concert as often as possible. It is always worthwhile! Live shows are something apart from everyday routine. I enjoy them singing out loud, jumping, dancing, with hundreds, millions, of others doing the same around me. Energy flows down from the stage from the band. Energy goes back to the stage from the crowd. And you can feel it! You can feel it from your feet to your throat.
R.E.M. has a special place in my heart for many different reasons and their gigs are so special to me also! But every gig I go to is always a time just to have fun and experience an unique event. Not only live music, also ballets and cirque (thinking of the sunning Cirque Du Soleil!). When someone is performing live you are seeing a unique event and you are part of it. So...go to that show you don't want to miss, whichever it is!
