Appreciating Beauty in This Sometimes All-Too-Short Life

I did not know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month (thank you G.). Since posting my latest story, I've received comments and notes from people who have lost mothers and/or others to this disease, and I've heard from those whose loved ones are survivors to it. It is amazing to me just how many people have been affected in some way by breast cancer. It is just a reminder to me how precious life is and how important it is for us to stop and open our eyes to the beauty around us today, now, in this moment.
