In North Miami, Florida there is a small stretch of highway along US1 from N.E. 54th st. to 79ave. known as the MiMo(Miami Modern) district. This district is home to motels built during the 1940's and 50's. During the 70's and 80's they became drug dens and love motels. In the 1990's the mtels had become abandoned buildings, now they are to be restored to their original glory.
