Insect Macros

This is a collection of my best bug macros.
These photos all feature soft backgrounds designed to draw attention where it belongs - the insects, and their infinite intricacies.
Every shot was executed with "poor man's macro" techniques; some with lens extension, others with lens coupling.
My lighting setup is very simple. I photograph the bugs within a triangle of folded computer paper. A remote flash above the triangle provides the necessary illumination.
