Lovely to Look At

As someone who writes about food, remembering details about what I have eaten or observed is key to turning the essence of a dish into words. If I can capture the image of ingredients as they're tossed into a wok, I'm one step closer to recreating the chef's recipe for home cooks.
When traveling, photography also allows me to enjoy a sample of every yummy thing I see. If I actually stopped and ate all those luscious, whip cream-filled pastries, I wouldn't be able to fit into my Travel Smith khakis.
In some parts of the world, photographing food can also save on health care costs. By filling up my memory card instead of my stomach, there is no worry about gastrointestinal disorders.
