Tsukiji

tuna drama

I couldn't miss the opportunity to visit Tokyo fish market, Tsukiji, during my trip to Japan.

Not after shooting at Catania fish market .

What a striking difference. Sicily is sunlight and noise, Japan is lamps and silence. No cries from the stalls, only the sound of the motor carts moving so quickly that you have to pay attention to, or they would pass over you.

And yet, the similarity. The smell of the sea, the dead eyes of the fishes staring at you.

An inspiration, for a photographer.
