Our Town.

What city do you live in? What neighborhood?
I live in Nowra, which is aboriginal for Black Cockatoo.
Nowra is a town in the city of the Shoalhaven.
What are some adjectives that describe your neighborhood?
Scenic, rural, arty, happy,peaceful.
How long have you lived there, and what brought you there?
Well i have lived here all most my entire life actually.
I was born here and my family moved away from Nowra for a few years and we moved back when i was around six years old.
What is your favorite thing about this place? Your least favorite?
My favourite would have to be the way it looks, Nowra is a rural town surrounded by bush, and the beach is only twenty minutes away you cant get any better for beautiful suroundings than that! haha.
My least favourite thing would have to be the fact that if you weren't a tourist you wouldnt have much to do, theres not much here in Nowra.
Don't get me wrong the place is beautiful, it's more of a holiday town haha
It's growing though , really fast!
Do you feel that you belong there?
I used to but the past few years i've felt like i should move up to the city.
Which im doing in the next three months YAY!
What is the most common misconception about where you live?
That were all country hicks, when i went for my university interview i had some guy ask if i tip cows for fun.
I let out a sarcastic ha ha.
What is a special fact about your city that you have to live there to know?
Well we now have a REALLY big entertainment centre.
Also we have a good art and music scene here as well.
But we have two Mcdonalds.........we don't need two.
What aspect of your city do you secretly love?
The way it looks, i love just taking photos around the town especially at night.
Anything else you'd like to add?
Really everyone should visit Nowra and/or the whole Shoalhaven area atleast once in there life its a beautiful place and its close to the beach!
Also you should go to a cafe called Socrates Table.
They do REALLY good Greek food there.........and i work there so you can come visit me and i'll make you a coffee!
