Faith - the choice is yours

another quote they share is from one of my favorite movies 'Miracle on 34th Street - Faith is believeing in things that common sense tells you not to.
We all use faith everyday, we get up each day and put our faith in small matters and large matters and eternal matters. We all believe a little different from the next in all things that takes faith.
Years ago I was like many people drifting through life without a thought of tomorrow, I did not have a care of what would happen beyond the grave. I was brought up believeing that I was loved by God and He would not be able to turn me away from His Kingdom, because I had led a good life, I was a perfect child (so I was led to believe.)
In 1977 I met a man who would tell me something I had never heard and I was not real sure I even wanted to hear it then, but I let him talk and I tried to understand what he was saying. Believe me, I did not understand I could bearly believe my ear when he told me I was a sinner on my way to hell. That could not be ture, I had not killed anyone, I listen to all my parent rules, I did not sware, I did not steal... I just could not understand what he was telling me.
Then on May 3rd, 1977 this guy pulls out the bible and reads the last book in the bible - Revelations Charter 22 Verse 8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
And he asks me 'Have you ever told a lie?'
Have I ever told a lie? What kind of question is that? I guess I had, I am sure I had. Then he tells me that one lie was enough to send me to hell, because the GOD of all can not be in the persents of sin. The scales on my eyes that had blinded me all those years started to melt away and I realized, yes, I was a sinner and had told a lie and many more sins countless sin that I had hid from even myself.
Then he told me that is why Christ came and died on the cross - he died to pay for my sins, I needed a spotless Lamb to be sacrifice that his blood would cover all my sins. Yes, I understood, and believed and fell to my knees and thank the God of all for loving me enough to send His only son to die for me and I confess my sins and put my trust in His saving power.
It has been 31 years 3 months 20days 2 hour and 45 min since that day and I still believe that I am a sinner, and that Jesus Christ died for those sins makeing me a Sinner Saved by Grace. I believe that the Word of God is alive and written by men's hand but inspired 100% by GOD.
I believe that I service the risen Savour of the world, I believe He is not willing that anyone should perish.
My faith service EL SHADDAI, well that is one of His names.
This is my faith, I believe that GOD created the earth is 6 days and then rested on the 7th day. I believe Adam and Eve fell from the grace of God eatting from the tree God told them not to - making us all sinners and I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God that He came and lived a perfect life and Died of the cross paying for all the people of the world sins and that God raised Him from the dead after 3 days and nights in the grave, and I believe He is now on the right hand of God in his Kingdom and I believe I will live there one day for ever more - never to die again...
That is where my faith is found - in Jesus Christ and in His Father
