"God's Country"

Davis Mountains Ahead

Born and raised in the piney woods of east Texas and now near retirement, I have finally traveled to and seen what I consider "God's Country", west Texas. This barren desert is like bringing the skies into your lap. It is one of the most awesome geographical areas of Texas. These photos that I am sharing depict loneliness and solitude, the beauty of the open ranges, and the awesome skies amidst the many cactus landscapes. The captures represented here are unusual and unique as they are just located in the middle of nowhere and all a person can do is photograph it and scratch their head and say to themselves "imagine that"! Here are some of these to share.
