Who do you think I am....as a photog?

Every so often, usually daily, I ask myself who am I? Why am I shooting pictures when there are so many talents around me that make my "work" look like crap. (I'm not a hobbiest. I want things to be worth something.) And then I'll see a picture of a dirt clod and rethink.
I am calling all those that dare to tell me what they think about me based on my photography/eye as a whole. What category would you put me in? Am I an artist? Am I a hack? Do I suck overall?
I know, everyone needs to find their own voice and I know to a point what I can do and what I can't. I just need to hear it from people that I respect. You see, anybody can take a great picture. They can even become famous for a single image. (Kennedy getting his head blown off for example.) The question is, where do I fall in the scheme of things? Am I just a shutterbug that happens to take a nice picture every now and then or do I maybe have a little talent?
Thanks for your honest opinions. I value your comments. I think everyone should do this. It could save you from years of poverty!
