Is the ocean dying? Or am I watching too many sci-fi movies?

Oddly last friday I had a close encounter with a bunch of dead animals :
a rare fish for these waters (the sturgeon on the right) a turtle, two birds and tons of jelly fish .
An old man told me he has been fishing on this area for the last 30 years and never saw anything like it...
A shame ,a shame, he said...
Is the ocean dying? Are we sailing toward a stormy future?
