The Alleyways of Stockholm

During a recent trip to Stockholm I got my first chance to stay in the old town portion of Stockholm. What surprised me the most where these great alleyways throughout the town. Some of them are incredibly narrow. You can tell that they were built long before cars were around because no car could drive down most of them. Some of them were wide enough to allow cars but certainly not 2 way traffic. It is fun to imagine people filling the streets walking similar to a downtown Manhattan with all the cars that fill the street today. The city is very clean and definitely has been updated in the past few years but it still has the feel of being built many years ago.
Stockholm in the summer season is a great place to go. The sun is up from 3AM until 11PM so the city is alive almost around the clock. The city has multiple waterways and one can take a dinner cruise and there is plenty to do.
