What city do you live in? What neighborhood?
Burlington, WI is a small town in the heart of the Midwest just hours from the Windy City and just about thirty minutes from any means of a downtown.
What are some adjectives that describe your neighborhood?
In my suburban town, the police squad knows your first and last name and you know there’s. For the young crowd there is nothing more then delinquent activates to indulge in, and that’s exactly what they do.
How long have you lived there, and what brought you there?
Sixteen years in the makings, i have lived in the same house, in the same neighborhood and have had the same friends. My heart will always be in this town, but my sould will travel far.
What is your favorite thing about this place? Your least favorite?
My favorite things about my town its way of bringing us all together, we all stay in one place for the most of the night, and the park which happens to be the place to be when there’s no where else to go and it is what keeps us together. We feel safe together, we drink, we smoke together, and we jump rocks and cross the damn.
Do you feel that you belong there?
I feel like for know I belong here, but my town only knows what’s best for us, and it has helped us grown up and remain kids at the same time, it will soon be an empty nester but only to await the new hatch of kids to teenagers then to let go again.
What is the most common misconception about where you live?
A misconception of my town would be that we are high class or low class, but truly we have no class, we don’t belong or fit any regulation we make everyday what it is, and we bring that to our town with nothing more or less to offer.
What is a special fact about your city that you have to live there to know?
The prettiest sun set is only seen half wet drinking Soco from a water bottle.
What aspect of your city do you secretly love?
Its small town feel with a big city heart.
