Photo Essay

keep the camera handy

I have learned so much from so many since becoming part of the JPG community earlier this year.

One of the first and best lessons I learned was to always have a camera nearby.

By day I am an occupational therapist (I work with people to help them regain function and independence after illness or injury). Working in the hospital was not very conducive to photography. However, I now work in home health and am out in the community seeing patients in their own homes. This increased time out in the world and out of the hospital has allowed me to keep my camera close by at all times. My holga is usually right beside me on the passenger seat.

This is a sampling of pictures taken while stuck in traffic, or parked somewhere, or getting to/from my next appointment.
