D is for DEMOCRACY, Freedom & Independence

This is my entry for democracy; I shot this at a protest which happened the day before the last Farm Aid event in Indianapolis, Indiana.
One of the best parts about what we have here in the U.S. is our voice and the ability to take action. That is why I like this photo and chose to share it with you.
The individuals you see in this photo are all famiily farmers. Each has gotten involved in this protest due to federal policies on agriculture which lean greatly to the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. They chose to voice their opinion not only through this protest, but with follow-up visits to their representatives and the drafting of legislation.
