Beauty in Mind

Her Eyes

It's always told that beauty is whatever we depict it to be. Famous Pop singer Christina Aguilera in her song Beautiful told that everyone is beautiful no matter what anyone says; you're beautiful no matter what. You can argue that diversity is the beauty of it all, but let's not get sidetrack.

We all have a definition of what can be "sexy", "hot", "jaw-dropping", "foxy", and so on. Some will say beauty comes from how big a woman's breast is. Others may say its how much junk she may packs in her trunk (how big her butt is). A handful of people will give the definition of beauty by whatever their fetish is; skinny people, fat people, what their feet look like, etc... Beauty can be put as, whether a man is muscular; whether a woman has the curves to stop a man in his tracks.

I'm not here to give you the definition of what is beautiful, but to state my opinion. Where I find beauty is in a person's eyes. The feelings you get when you stare into another's eyes are almost undefined; all words would be an understatement for what you find. Looking into someone's eyes is like looking through a keyhole into their heart.

We've heard the saying, "I love you like how a fat boy loves ice cream." Imagine how that boy must feel putting that spoon full of his favorite ice cream into his mouth; he is probably overwhelmed that he has his favorite flavored ice cream at his fingertips. Looking into a person's eyes will give you that same sort of feeling with butterflies in your stomach. The eyes lead to feelings that no one can comprehend. Feelings that can eventually lead up to something called love.

So what is beauty? It's whatever you sculpt love to be. No sane person will say they love someone for only their personality. The world could certainly say in their definition that someone isn't beautiful for such and such reasons, but that does not change the fact of what attracts you towards them. Whatever you love is beautiful to you.

The same rule applies in photography as well. You love a picture because there is something that attracts you towards it; and that is beautiful to you. You see an image and you fall in love with it. Whether it be a gorgeous model or a powerful image of a homeless person. Everyone is attracted to an image which touches them somehow. That is where beauty lies; in your love for that person, picture, or object (anything).
