Too busy staring to see the writing's on the wall.

Close your eyes. What do you think of when you hear the phrase 'the writings on the wall'?
Do you think of a certain time in your life that you should have, but didn't see some impending doom? Do you think of the inevitable end of something wonderful? Did Polaroid see the writing on the wall when the first digital camera was marketed? How many times do we simply choose not to see?
Do you think of poetry or song lyrics, like The Mavericks, Destiny's Child, Motley Crew, Impellitter, Ted Nugent, and George Harrison (just to name a few), have before you?
Or, do you think literally of writing on a wall... graffiti on old buildings, phrases on the bathroom walls at high schools, promises of undying love etched into a tree, the Lincoln memorial, the Vietnam Veterans wall, ground zero?
I do.
'The writing's on the wall brother.
Your life is in your hands.
It's up to you to see
The writings on the wall.' –George Harrison
