Black Skimmers

I wish you could see these birds zip along just barley above the water with their beak just below the surface trying to snag a small fish, it's pretty amazing. They fly very fast and when they are in groups also known as a "scoop" their arial acrobatics are incredible. They also vocalize with a barking sound. These shots were taken at the Bolsa Chica Wetlands, one of my favorite places for nature photography.
