Lake Placid, Florida: The town of Murals

Lake Placid, FL

This was a fun day. I got over 200 photos that day. This was a very cool place to visit, but probably not to live. Due to the obvious hazards, the speed limit is like 25-30 mph throughout the whole town. There is a very large, beautiful lake there (obviously), however I don't think this is the lake where the film "Lake Placid" was shot. If you're ever passing through Central Florida, it's worth a drive through especially for photographers. There is a clown college, as well as old-fashioned architecture of many different varieties throughout the city. Even the Winn-Dixie has a huge mural on the side as does the Volunteer Fire Station. Come down & see it sometime. :)
