My beautiful Puerto Rico

As Im writing this I am in Puerto Rico but I live in Buffalo,NY and when Im there I am always wishing to be here. As my son got older my only destination has been Puerto Rico and Orlando to see my family, now I want to share my knowledge about the goodies in Puerto Rico. You will get great pictures out of this trip, and If you are a model's photographer you will find the greatest, curviest, cutest models ever.

As the mayority of you may know Puerto Rico is a beautiful island in the Caribbean.

What makes it special from all the other small islands in the caribbean?

1. The currency is the same as in United States, even if you are not american, the US dollar is one of the most common currency in the world and everybody knows how much every paper dollar and coin values.

2. United States citizens don't need a passport to travel, because Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the United States.

3. The Weather is perfect all year around, even when it's raining it will never get too hot or too cold, the worst thing that could happen is a hurracaine and that is not common. The last one I remember was one in 1998 or 1999 called Hortensia and I can tell you honestly from the bottom of my heart that I had the best times of my life during that hurracaine, I had the chance to be a real kid. We had no light but we didn't need it because we were playing outside all day and our parents had power plants in their work so they didn't lost money because of not working my point is that it's not common but when it did happen only the people that are not prepare suffer consequences. You will always get a warning and enough time to get prepare. Now to the good things, I think I scared you a bit.

4. The views are to die for and to see it all you only have to travel 100 miles across and 35 miles from north to south or viceversa.

5. The entertainment is 24/7. If you are planning to go clubbing in the metropolitan area (that's near the San Juan airport) You have to go to clubbing to:

Brava- Isla Verde

Pinones- carolina

El ocho de blanco- Rio Piedras

Old San Juan- San Juan

If you want to do a family trip or just chill ;

Morro,Fortaleza,Castillo San Cristobal,Paseo La Princesa -Old San Juan

Pinones ( to eat traditional dishes)- carolina

Boqueron - south

La Parguera - south

El yunque - rio grande

Guanica -south

Aguadilla

Fajardo

and the smalls town-islands

Culebra and Vieques - You only need $6.00 rountrip in a small ship like the one you take in manhattan to see the statue of liberty. ( a ferry) I guess thats the name.

6. The Food are unique and delicious. You can try local dishes in any part of the Island anyday of the week but you can also eat great italian, spanish, african and american foods. You can even try traditional dominican and cuban dishes as you do in Cuba and Dominican Republic; But dont worry we still have Mcdonalds, Long john, kentucky and all the other fast foods.

7. You can relax in the beach, rivers, forest, or city.

8. You will find almost every store you have back home plus all the local stores.

9. You can find souveniers for friends starting at less than one dollar.

10. Most Puertorrican are friendly and speak spanish and english fluently.

I don't think you would regret this trip but I do recommend you to stay in a guest house or a small hotel because the big hotels including the Ritz Carlton, Marriot and other over 3 stars hotels sometimes overcharge turist when you buy it directly from them.Try a discount hotel website.
