Silent Dialogue

Thanks to photography I had chance to travel different places and see different tradition and meet and photographed all kinds of people and situations. Unfortunately I am not strong with languages (speak only two: my native Slovak and my second language English) I found myself in the situation where I was not able to communicate with others. It would be nice to have someone who I can understand and who understand me so I can learn more about person I am photographing at the time. In those situation when I was browsing streets of to me unknown city in foreign Country and was unable to communicate hardest part was to develop trust and courage to photograph people even I knew I can't explain to them nothing about who I am and why am I doing what I am doing. Most of the time I was walking around with smile on my face, not ignorant or chauvinistic smile but sincere and respectful. Respect to others and smile is the best way to interact with others and brake the ice and warm up situation. if you show respect to others, others will respect you, if you smile to complete stranger there is a great chance he/she will smile back and even without one word spoken you can lead a Silent Dialogue. So there I was with my camera observing daily life of to me fascinating and unknown place and with smile on my face having silent dialogue with beautiful strangers.
