Night Scapes

Night, the vail of darkness. What secrets does it hide, what visions will it reveal? As the sun sets at the end of each day, what happens to the commonly lit and open spaces in which we live? The places in which we occupy day after day, the places that give us comfort. The spaces that make us feel so welcome, become a source of mystery and intrigue when the sun fades away. This absence of the light is forever being illuminated by mankind to allow the human experience to continue through the dark hours of the night. While night itself is pushed further and further from the heart of the city by the pseudo illumination of mankind. It is during these hours and in these dimly lit spaces that the true soul of the city is revealed. Through the shifting colors of light we define and create mans presence. Light both conceals and illuminates the world in which we live. It is in these images that we focus on man's need to push the night away and in so doing revealing new visions of that which the light creates.
