A Day At The Ball Park

Sunday, May 25, 2008: It was a hot and humid day out in South Florida, the peak heat index of about 95 degrees. The day before, there had been a Marlins vs. Giants game that four friends and i were going to attend. It tunrs out the Mother Nature didn't like that idea one bit. So, she cried her eyes dry for hours upon hours, causing a two hour and forty-five minute rain delay and eventually a postponed game, until the next day. So, instead, we went ice skating at the local ice skating rink.
The next day at about 1PM, we were taken to "Dolphin Stadium" to watch our game that we had, ironically, gotten rainchecks for. That day it was scheuled that the Marlins and Giants would face each other twice, with a 20 minute break in between the two games. The blistering heat burned out skin and dehydrated us. But we eventually got over that to watch this intense game.
All of the sudden, at about 2:30PM, the clouds roared over us, in an attempted mini-hurricane. And they did just that. It poured for nearly 25 minutes, with another rain delay, two in two days. But this time, it didn't last long, making it alot cooler to be outside afterwards.
To make a long story short, the Marlins won both games of that day to the San Francisco Giants, winning two out of three games against them.
Game 1: 8-6.
Game 2: 5-4.
