Rediscovering Film

Cathedral II

After shooting film for more than twenty years I decided to make the jump towards the digital revolution, sure it is nice to have the sharpness and the convenience of digital but film has some distinct qualities, and these are qualities that digital photography cannot match. One of those qualities lies in the imperfections which I love to take advantage of, the purity of the grain, the saturation, the possibilities are endless.

As a painter I do appreciate these qualities, it gives me the opportunity to model my photography in the style of old works of art. The expectations and the element of surprise are added factors that excite me about working with film.

I encourage you to push your boundaries in creativity, add a little film to your digital life.
