Feline Power: Patience Revisited

Only Have Eyes For You ...

Last December I wrote a short article on how my daughter's cat (Patience) conned herself into our home and, eventually, into our hearts. She's turned out to be quite a charmer and, as an update, has settled into our home quite well and not at all the problem I thought she'd become.

She's actually quite photogenic too and seems to like being in front of the camera. Whenever I take my Nikon N70 on the Patio, for instance, she'll soon jump up on our covered grill almost as if waiting for a cue of some kind. It's weird, but I think she actually understands me when I give a prompt to do this or that. Then, maybe its just wishful thinking. (I still think she favors my wife, Jennifer, than me.)

However, since I've taken 300+ photographs of her since she moved in with her suitcase six months ago, I thought I'd publish a small book similar to Tony Mendoza's Photographer's Memoir of his cat ERNIE. In case you're interested, ERNIE was published by Capra Press (California) in 1985 ... ISBN 0-88496-240-7. With some luck (and money) next year I hope to publish: PATIENCE: The Feline Con.

Meantime, here are some favorites, but first click on http://www.jpgmag.com/stories/2295 to view the article I referred to earlier.
