Zoo Photography

For years I refused to go to the zoo because the sight of wild animals trapped in tiny cages upset me greatly. I have always known it is for a good cause to protect the animals and understand them better but I have always felt their emotion to be greatly distressed and confused. Recently I overcame my inhibitions and took a trip to the Philadelphia Zoo because I wanted to capture the emotion of these animals from the joyful to the sad and let the world see the same emotion I have always felt from them. I discovered that some of the animals seem content where they are but the smarter ones looked to me in a vain hope that I could make things better for them. I don't quite know how to do that other than to show their faces to the world and hope that others come to understand their beauty.
