Defending the Zoo Shoot
By Dom Ioele

Okay, I know many of us take photos at zoos, and most of us think it's okay, but I have heard some photographers say it's "cheating" and others are embarrassed to admit that their photos didn't come from the "wild".
I feel that the difference between a zoo photo and a wild photo is the same as the difference between a studio photo and a candid photo. Both can be great - they're just different.
Not all of us can afford expensive safaris or 1200mm super zooms, so go out to your local zoos and aquariums and shoot to your heart's content!
