Flat Out - A Moving Story

I've just been given the title of Head Tenant! Here's a documentary of the chaos when every person in our 6 person home moves except me. I'm the eye in the storm!
That's because our Head Tenant has bought his first home. He's given himself the new title of Leaseholder and moved out. I guess he's a bit of a Mover and Shaker.
What has resulted is the shuffle of 'flatmates' from one room to another in the 'Flat'. Our flat is a Victorian Bay Villa built in 1891. It was one of the first homes on the street. The head tenant has been here for 9 years, The Traveller 6, myself and the Mover and Shaker's partner, who we'll call The Baker, about 2 years and The Frenchman and The Singer about just over a year. It's kind of like a student flat that grew up. I love it.
So here's the shuffles: The Mover and Shaker is still The Leaseholder and is moving out (according to the owners he's on a long work trip out of town) His partner The Baker can't stay full time at their new abode without transport to work difficulties. So he's moving to the smallest room in the house.
The Traveller wants the vacated largest room so she's given permission for her things to be shifted in her absence.
The Singer (21 and still studying classical voice at University) has long coveted The Traveller's 'wardrobe' (no really it's just a bar installed in the gap beside an old fireplace). The Singer invited her parents around for dinner and while she cooked had them shift her room down the hallway! Of all the moves I think at this stage she's the most settled. She has her pictures on the walls and is sleeping in her bed.
The Frenchman is out of the smallest room which is really no more than an old entranceway and coat room. It does take a double sized mattress though. And there's space for a desk and a two or three chairs - a cosy party! He's taken over The Singer's old room. His things are in but, mostly he is not. (His girlfriend lives closer to the bar that he works at so he stays there more than here really. I don't think I'll see his shoes as tidy again.
That leaves one empty room which awaits it's new owner. He moves in in two weeks time. By which time we'll all be settled again.
