The Secret to My Cheap Developing
Clark Color Labs by Clark Color Labs

One of the hang-ups film hounds like me (especially of those of us on a tight budget, namely jobless college students) is the cost of developing our pictures. The typical prices that I get with the supermarket and drugstore photocenters for twenty-seven prints (4x6) or so is roughly around $9.
A few years ago my mother told me about a place she used to get her photos developed. After doing a brief search online I found that the place was still in business and was very modestly priced compared to what I'm used to. The only thing that could be considered a catch is you have to wait while you mail in your film and them to come back, but again, they are the cheapest service I've found.
As every lomographer knows, one of the philosophical aspects of the art / art style is to get your lomographs developed and printed cheaply as possible.
Clark Color Labs has wonderful service and very helpful. They even rebate you the money if some of your photographs does not print and send you a couple of more photomailers with your photographs (or lomographs if you prefer, depending on who's behind the lens), so you won't have to request anymore. The great thing about the photomailers is that if you happen to have an older one before their prices have changed; they'll still develop and print your photos at the stated price on the envelope order form.
Clark Color Labs only print the standard C-41 / CN-16 / AP-70 and APS style film. 35mm, 110, and Single use cameras are the only formats they currently will develop and print. Unfortunately at this time they will not cross-process film. So you will have to rely on your local photomats, drugstores, and supermarkets for some of those services.
So, if you want cheap prices for photo developing go to www.clarkcolor.com and request to be sent a couple of their photomailers and you'll be on your way to getting cheap prints.
