Up on the hill

During the scanning of those pictures, I realized they were the last I took of my hometown, but also the first time I felt so well there.
In my memory, the city was grey, gloomy, cold, rainy, suffocating, everyone watching everyone, nothing to do, nothing to see, isolated from the rest of the region and the country.
Except that summer. The summer after my return from USA. So many things had changed in my life ! And so I had a new point of view on my past.
Up on that hill, I felt everything different, including myself.
I was above all, breathing, appreciating.
This country is surely wondrerful. A vast land with fresh air, untouched nature, wild rivers, large forests.
But, during the 20 years I lived there, I never explored it...
