"OUT THERE"

OUT THERE, SOMEWHERE...
"Out there, somewhere,
there are cruise ships, sunny beaches, theme parks,
that I have promised myself
I will never leave these glorious mountains,
will never waste my precious time, to visit.
It is here,
deep among these wondrous peaks and canyons,
pristine forests, verdant meadows,
sapphire lakes, and white tumbling rivers,
and out here,
on the wide, wind swept rolling hills
of the endless grass lands,
it is here
that this life began so many ages ago.
It is here,
that this life will come to its ending
one unknown day that lies far ahead.
And it is here,
where what I am made of,
what I will leave behind,
will become one with the land,
and dwell here forever,
as long as the forests grow, the rivers run,
and the mountains stand,
their snow capped peaks
brushing the very doorsteps of heaven.

Irmingard Anna gave props (7 Dec 2008):
That is a manifestation for the native land! Great hymn!
