The heart of Etna

Located in Sicily, a few kilometres from Catania, Etna (3265 m) is an active volcano with, sometimes, eruptions very violent. A few years ago, guided tours by scientists were held. I was lucky enough to attend. These visits took place in the evening at sunset. After a climb on the sides in a very old bus (Russian-made if my memory is correct), the last mile ascent done on foot
It's something different. This is not just a walk in the mountains. It was here the impression that the earth is alive. She moves, she thunders. Shoes with soles forces are needed because the soil is very hot. In some places, a fault arose jets of smoke. But anything unleashed when approaching a big crater. This is not the main stands atop.
