Germany 2006

rhine town

I happened to get the opportunity to go to Germany with my school's german class in the summer of 2006. This was cool for me for two reasons: one it was my first time for international travel, two Germany was hosting the WeltMeister Schaft or World Cup of Soccer. I play soccer and it is my favorite sport so it was win win. We landed in Munich and took a flight to Berlin. I went to the Berlin Zoo, Checkpoint Charlie, Museam Island, the Reichstag, Brandenburg gate, and several churches and holocaust memorials, as well as the Berlin wall. We went to several castles and gardens, took a boat tour of the Rhine, went to Munich and the English Gardens where i split open my hand after my front brakes locked up and sent me face first over the handle bars. Saved me from seeing the FKK aka nudist colony. I then staid with a German family for three weeks and attended school there. Many more feild trips including Heidelburg castle and city, Stuttgart where we went to the Mercedes Benz museam, and more castles, palaces, and churches. I also got to go to a salt mine, and the Olympic Park in Munich. The school was located in Mosbach. It was so much fun, and I got around 500 photos, though not all of them are good.
