Photo Essay

the big city through small eyes

Skyline

I was a very well traveled little kid. In a simpler time when I was around 9 I began to spend every summer in New Jersey with my mother, and then fly to Vegas to stay with my Grandmother. Its almost unimaginable now to think of putting a 9 year old on a plane by himself to traverse the country but to me it wasnt a big deal.

Recently I was going through some things and came across a box of photos I had taken on these trips. They are faded and the emulsion is peeling on some. I was really taken at the view I had on the world before I knew anything about shutter speed or aperture. These are mainly shot with my 110 or polaroid, there are a few shot with my old Disc camera (if anyone even remembers those).

I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
