Double Exposed [New York & Florida]

It is always neat to travel places and go site seeing, but what if you had a good friend photograph the place they live at and then you photograph on top of that? You have a cross-culture of pretty amazing photographs that represent two places at the same time.
Fellow JPGer, cmlphoto, is going to school at Fredonia in New York. I had her photograph anything she wanted and then send me the same roll. Once I received the roll, I just pulled the leader out. You can go to any photo lab and they can just put it into this machine that pulls it out to "re-use" instead of processing. I happen to work at a Target photo lab and so I just did it at work. There are also hand held contraptions that can get the film leader out... just Google "film leader retriever" and you should be able to find a cheap one. After you get the leader out, just put it into your camera as if it is an unused roll and shoot away!
The cool part of it all is being clueless as to what the other person shot and just shooting your life at hand. Once you see the results they are really breath taking. You did not just capture images within your walk of life, but an overlay of the whole masterpiece.
It was interesting to see the photographs that came out of the collaboration between Christine and I. I reside in Florida and have absolutely no photographs of nature related things- mainly cityscapes, parking garages and corporate America. However, Christine photographed nature, some really neat oceanic compositions, and different areas of her campus.
Now I challenge you to message a friend/contact here on JPG or someone you know within a different state, country, etc. Have them photograph a roll and send it to you. It can even be with a disposable camera at first! It is always nice to send a set of the photographs back, which I still have yet to do. ;)
